Manually copy the entire M-Business Server directory tree to a backup location. Copy the <M-Business_Home> directory and all lower level directories to a backup location on a different physical drive. Leave this backup intact until the entire upgrade process is complete and you are sure that your upgraded production environment is functioning properly.

During the upgrade process, it is possible for problems to arise that require complete files, or specific settings from files, to be copied into the upgraded M-Business Server installation.
