The big difference is that, in order for any data that needs to be available to a user without synchronizing again, server data must be copied into on-device data at the same time as the generated page is downloaded to the device. The ASP or JSP page on the Web server dynamically generates an HTML page with JavaScript. When the page is opened on the device, the JavaScript loads data from the on-device data.
