Clients using Sybase mainframe access products (see “Related products”) can send requests to TRS to access mainframe data. TRS forwards the requests to the mainframe and returns results in the same format as the results that Adaptive Server returns. Communication between TRS and the mainframe is transparent to the client. This appendix describes the types of requests a client can send to TRS.
