Before you attempt to install DirectConnect, you must complete the following pre-installation tasks.
To prepare for installation
Complete the installation worksheet for your platform in Appendix A, “Installation Worksheets.”
(Optional) Set the environment variable $SYBASE to point to the location where DirectConnect will be installed.
