Before you attempt to install DirectConnect, you must complete the following pre-installation tasks.
To perform pre-installation tasks
Read Chapter 4, “Getting Ready to Install,” to identify the hardware and software requirements and to perform the identified critical administrative tasks.
Complete the installation worksheet for your platform in Appendix A, “Installation Worksheets.”
(Optional) Set the environment variable to point to the location where DirectConnect will be installed.
