Use the following worksheet to identify information that you
should designate and record prior to installing DirectConnect for
DB2 UDB. You are prompted for this information during installation.
Much of the DirectConnect for DB2 UDB installation process
is accomplished when you configure the DRDA data sources to set
up connectivity, and create and bind packages to the DRDA system.
You use a text editor to define DSNs in the odbc.ini file.

or type its address name. If you enter an address name, the driver

TCP Port: port number assigned
to the DRDA server on the machine where catalog tables reside. Record
this port’s numeric address or its name (8898 is
the default). If you enter a port name, the driver must find this name
(with the correct port assignment) in the SERVICES file
on the workstation.
