Chapter 9: Setting Up the DirectConnect TDS Driver

Description

The client DirectConnect ODBC driver allows applications to access ODBC data using SQL. You can use it to develop, compile, and ship an application without targeting a specific type of data source. ODBC clients must use this “front-end” driver to connect with DirectConnect access services.

NoteDo not confuse this driver with the target ODBC driver that sets up connections between DirectConnect and the target data source.

This ODBC driver enables ODBC-based applications to access DirectConnect services.
