Adaptive Server version 12.5.2 and later includes ASE ADO.NET Data Provider 1.1. The Common Language Runtime (CLR) bytecode for applications built against previous versions of the Data Provider is not compatible with this version of the data provider. To use the updated version of the Data Provider, your applications should be rebuilt against the new Data Provider. Multiple versions of the Data Provider can coexist on the client machine and therefore your old application can continue to use the previous version of the Data Provider.
