The statement cache size parameter increases the server allocation of procedure cache memory and limits the amount of memory from the procedure cache pool used for cached statements. The statement cache feature is enabled server-wide:
statement cache size size_of_cache
You must configure set chained on/off in
its own batch if you enable the statement cache.
Because cached statements are transformed into lightweight stored
procedures, statement caching requires additional open object descriptors
