When you install Replication Server version 15.0.1 on top of version 15.0, version 15.0.1 replaces version 15.0. For this reason, Sybase recommends that you back up your current release directory before installing Replication Server 15.0.1.
Upgrading to Replication
Server 15.0.1
To upgrade Replication Server 15.0 to version 15.0.1:
Shut down all Replication Servers.
Back up your replication system.
If you are installing Replication Server 15.0.1 on top of version 15.0, back up the current Sybase release directory referenced by $SYBASE.
If you are installing Replication Server 15.0.1 in a directory other than the existing directory, the interfaces file must be accessible. For more information, see the Replication Server installation guide for your platform.
Install Replication Server 15.0.1. See the Replication Server installation guide for your platform.
Restart all Replication Servers.
Update the stored procedure rs_helpfstring. See “Update rs_helpfstring after upgrading Replication Server 15.0 to Replication Server 15.0.1”.
Update rs_statcounters. See “Update rs_statcounters after upgrading to Replication Server 15.0.1”.
When upgrading from Replication Server 15.0 you need
not upgrade the user database and the RSSD, or commit a local site
to a new version level.
