If you have difficulty using Adaptive Server with transactionally enabled Microsoft MTS components and Microsoft DTC, make sure you:
Configure Adaptive Server for DTM.
Give the user dtm_tm_role.
Confirm that %SYBASE%\%SYBASE%_OCS\dll is in the system path and contains libxadtm.dll.
If you change the system path, restart Windows. In most situations, the installation sets the system path correctly.
Set the ODBC DSN Distributed Transaction Support value on the Advanced tab to Native OLE.
If Adaptive Server is running on a platform other than Windows, or if you want to use the XA interface, make sure the ODBC DSN Distributed Transaction Support value under the Advanced tab is set to XA Protocol, which is the default value.
Confirm that the DTC service is running. In the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, select the Services icon and look for “MSDTC.”
