Before dropping companion mode, you must either suspend IRIX FailSafe monitoring or delete the resource group, the resources, and the node from IRIX FailSafe. Sybase recommends that you suspend monitoring in case you plan on restarting companion mode at some future date. For more information, see, Suspend FailSafe Monitoring “Suspend FailSafe monitoring”. To drop companion mode, enter the following at the isql prompt from the primary companion:
sp_companion ‘secondary_companion’, ‘drop’
For example:
sp_companion ‘MIZZEN’, ‘drop’
