on UNIX and the %SYBASE%\WS-12_5 directory

Although it is installed with Adaptive Server Enterprise, Adaptive Server Enterprise Web Services is a separately licensed feature, and it requires a license registered through SySAM named ASE_WEBSERVICES. Before configuring Adaptive Server Enterprise Web Services, make sure that your license is registered through SySAM.
