The rasd_tran_log parameter is used only by the Replication Agent for Oracle. Replication Agent for DB2 UDB and Microsoft SQL Server do not use the rasd_tran_log parameter.
The directory path for the Replication Agent System Database (RASD) transaction log file.
The path to the RASD transaction log file created automatically when the Sybase Replication Agent instance was created. For example:
On Microsoft Windows platforms:
%SYBASE%\RAX-15_0\inst_name\repository\inst_name.log
where:
%SYBASE% is the path to the Sybase Replication Agent installation directory.
inst_name is the name of the Replication Agent instance.
On UNIX platforms:
$SYBASE/RAX-15_0/inst_name/repository/inst_name.log
where:
$SYBASE is the path to the Sybase Replication Agent installation directory.
inst_name is the name of the Replication Agent instance.
A valid path on the Replication Agent host machine.
When you create a Sybase Replication Agent instance, the repository directory and RASD transaction log file are created automatically. The default value of the rasd_tran_log parameter points to that transaction log file.
If you specify any valid path and RASD transaction log file name as the value of the rasd_tran_log parameter, the Sybase Replication Agent instance looks in that directory for its RASD transaction log file, with the name you specified.
